The beauty store is a dangerous place. If you’re anything like me, you go in for one product (in this case, I needed foundation) and you end up walking out with way more than you ever planned on buying. A few weeks ago, I gave in to temptation and bought a few things that I have since been loving…
Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation // I was looking for a new foundation and this one is incredible. It’s an oil-free matte formula that really stays put despite my oily skin. In the past I’ve had trouble with makeup just kind of liquefying and disappearing after a few hours, but this long-lasting formula requires fewer touch-ups throughout the day.
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Perfector // Okay, that’s a mouthful. This compact houses a velvety pink solid that when rubbed over the skin creates a blurred, matte finish. I keep it hidden in my desk to quickly apply to a shiny nose or forehead. And while this was my greatest splurge of the month, I’d like to justify the cost with the fact that the oh-so-pretty compact will stay with me as a travel mirror long after the product runs out.
Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Bronzer // I have always been resistant to bronzers because they’ve always looked too sparkly or heavy, or orange, BUT. This bronzer (like so many LM products) is natural-looking and feels light on the skin. I set my foundation and apply a generous amount of the shade Bronze – 03 to my forehead, nose, chin and lower cheeks. There’s no sparkle or shine, and there’s no cakey texture on my skin after. Just a healthy, subtle glow that I love.
