A few days in to our Cali trip, Victor joined us, and I was especially grateful that he insisted on driving. We kicked the day off with coffee and the super touristy attractions: The TCL Theatre and Walk of Fame, and ended the day at the Griffith Observatory.
There were so many incredible imprints: Robin Williams, Elizabeth Taylor, Dean Martin, and Christopher Walken. My favorites were Shirley Temple (from 1935!), and Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman (#relationshipgoals).
If I could make one recommendation for L.A., it would be rent a convertible! Initially it felt extravagant, but in the end, it was 1000% worth it. Los Angeles is notorious for beautiful weather and warm temperatures so we drove with the top down almost everyday. It’s especially enjoyable when driving through downtown and along the coast, allowing unrestricted views of amazing architecture and iconic coastline.
Later that afternoon, we hightailed it up the mountain to watch the sunset from Griffith Observatory. This was another spot that was at the top of my sightseeing list, so naturally I geeked out the whole time. It’s the perfect place to view the whole city from afar, and at dusk, it absolutely glows.
