I love love love staying at boutique hotels. There’s something so cool about local art on the walls, unique installations in the lobby and impeccable styling at the hotel restaurant. I stayed at The Line in L.A., and it was the perfect reflection of uber-trendy Koreatown. I’ve been looking to visit a few other cities around the country this summer, one of which is Richmond. After finding the Quirk Hotel, I’m even more inspired to stop in and stay.
The lobby is bright and colorful with delicate details. It was constructed in 1916, which is why it has those gorgeous arches. Looks like the perfect place to people watch while enjoying a cup of the hotel’s signature blend coffee.
From the lobby you can walk a few feet into the hotel’s restaurant, Maple & Pine. Boasting locally grown fare and signature brunch cocktails, the restaurant is soon to be joined by a rooftop bar later this year. And I mean, look at those marble tables and pink chairs… c’mon.
And speaking of pink, LOOK at these rooms. The color reminds me of a Wes Anderson film. It’s modern and whimsical, and the details are impeccably well thought out, like Nest bath products in each room.
The hotel also boasts an art gallery with works from local artists. This charming courtyard is adjacent to the gallery, in case you just need to chill for a few outside…
And the hotel’s signature coffee blend is now for sale on site. Fun as souvenir or a little gift for your favorite coffee lover back home!
So, wanna go to Richmond…?
