GOALS

I’ve experienced certain jobs, and relationships that I’m grateful for, but have motivated me to move on, and lately I’ve been feeling the push more than ever. In an effort to figure out where I’m going and what I want to be, I’ve started with a few small goals each month. This month is all about baby steps in volunteering, working out, traveling, and job hunting.

Volunteer – Truth be told, I’d adopt 27 puppies tomorrow if I could stay home with them all day and just cuddle in their cuteness. But, a girl’s got bills to pay, and my 8-5 work schedule wouldn’t be fair to a dog. I’m hoping to spend my evenings and/or weekends giving back to animals in some way.

Take a fitness class – I am without a doubt the least athletic person I know. But, I have to do something to take care of myself and I figure a weekly yoga or barre class will not only motivate me to work out more, it will force me outside of my comfort zone, which is always a good thing.

Travel – I have so many places I want to visit! I’ve been feeling held back because I’ve never traveled alone, but I’m going to push that uncomfortable feeling out of the way and just do it. There’s no time like the present, and I don’t want to wait around forever wishing I had seen the sites.

Find a job I love – I’m so grateful to have the job that I do now, but I still have a passion for all things creative. While I’m not sure what exactly I want to do, the exploration part of this journey is exciting. My goal this month is to overhaul my resume and look for classes that further my knowledge in design.
