I love a good snack. And now that the weather is cooling down (just a tad here in FL), I don’t mind turning on the oven to make my own. They’re healthier and less expensive than the alternative, and when I’m craving something crunchy and salty, I make these cheesy wontons.
Start with a pack of won ton wrappers and cut each one diagonally. (I use a pizza cutter.)
Arrange on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Brush each wonton with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
Drop a pinch of grated Parmesan (or Asiago, or Romano) on each wonton.
Place the sheet pan in a pre-heated 400 degree oven and bake for 5 to 10 minutes. (Watch the first batch closely and adjust the cooking time according to your oven.) The wontons are done when golden and crispy.
Best served warm right out of the oven. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
