A few weeks ago, I joined my dad and sister for a day in St. Petersburg, Florida. The highlight of the trip was a return to The Dali Museum, which I had not visited in several years. Surrounded by palm trees and sunny weather, I enjoyed some HQ time with the fam and snapped a few shots along the way…

I’ve been trying to watch what I eat here lately but it seems like everywhere I turn, people are sharing yummy (yet unhealthy) recipes. Berries and carbs and sugar to celebrate the upcoming Fourth of July, or frozen treats to beat the heat, and there’s always chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! It’s not easy resisting the temptation to not only eat these yummies, but to pop in the kitchen and bake something up in my free time. So, instead I thought I’d share some of the tastiest-looking treats I’ve come across recently, and their appropriate food groups: cheese, sugar, and carbs. I’m pretty sure there are no calories involved in just looking…
Happy Friday! This week has gone by so quickly, and I’m loving it. I’ve been keeping busy with school and work so my apologies for not making an appearance here earlier in the week. I’m looking forward to sharing more soon, though, and thought a roundup of what’s made me happy this week would be a nice little send-off to the weekend.
How amazing do these beignets look?!

This month, I raided the drugstore for almost all of my beauty buys. While I love a luxury beauty product, sometimes it’s nice to give the wallet a break. These products are just as effective and beautiful, and the best part is, they won’t break the bank.
I have a confession to make. Every time I have to boil eggs, I Google how to do it first. In the world of learning to cook, I feel like this is the very first thing one would learn to do. It is a basic, and I’ve never mastered it. For one thing, I don’t boil eggs very often, but when I do I can’t keep the instructions straight. Do I start with cold water? cold eggs? Do I rinse them with cold water? How do I prevent them from cracking?!
SO, for the record, the best way to boil eggs goes like this:
I’ve always fancied myself a TV person. Given the chance, I’m more likely to bingewatch a whole season of Mad Men (RIP) than watch say, a Harry Potter movie. Here lately though, I’ve created a pretty nice routine of turning on a movie before bed to wind the evening down. I’m currently hooked on movies about relationships. It’s no secret that I love love and that includes stories that exemplify the many facets of romantic relationships: the silly, irrational, magical, dark, and sometimes scary feelings between two people. Here are a few movies I’ve recently enjoyed that take a unique look at relationships…
A few weeks ago the weather was just right for an impromptu road trip to Savannah, Georgia. It’s a charming southern town with so much to see and do. I went specifically to check out the Oscar de la Renta exhibit at The Savannah College of Art and Design and spent the rest of the afternoon walking around the historic district. Here are a few snapshots of the day, if you’d like to see…
In celebration of my return to design school this week, I thought I’d share a few examples of what’s been inspiring me lately. I love the colors, contrast and typography used in each of these layouts. I hope in the coming months I’m able to create projects that are just as beautiful and inspiring as these works.
