Hooray for a long weekend! After a hectic work week, I’m ready to relax by the pool. My mom is coming to visit and we’re grilling out in true Memorial Day fashion. I hope however you kick off your summer, it’s a blast! See you next week!

A Soundtrack for Time Travel

A Soundtrack for Time Travel

+

It’s amazing how a song has the power to transport me through time. A night out with college friends, falling in love, inside jokes, the summer of 2005, my first concert, and adventures in traveling. I’m reminded of all of these things and more in my latest playlist. I was inspired by a mixed tape (well, technically it was a CD) that a guy I briefly dated one summer made for me. He was really into music and had amazing taste, which translated nicely to the mix. Sadly, I lost the disc shortly after that summer but have managed to recover bits and pieces of it, along with some of my most favorite coming-of-age memories in this playlist. Unlike other lists I’ve shared, this one is meant to be played in sequential order. I hope you like it, and who knows, you just may do a little time traveling too. Xx

The Proust Questionnaire

May 14, 2015

life

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little afraid of 2015. On January 1st, I turned thirty (my scary age) but it wasn’t as terrifyingly Y2K-esque as I thought. I’ve had friends ask ‘how thirty feels’ and honestly, I still don’t feel like an adult (except for the two-day hangovers and involuntary eye rolls in the presence of co-eds). In and effort to catalog this milestone year, I’m indulging in the Proust Questionnaire, one of my favorite Vanity Fair features. I figure it’s a telling way of earmarking this moment in my life, and it will be fun to look back on this time next year.

Just for funsies, I’ve listed my answers below. YOU can get in on the fun by clicking the link at the bottom of the page!

A Quick Hello…

A Quick Hello...

Oh, hello! My apologies for the radio silence. May has kept me busy so far; I made a quick getaway to Savannah, Georgia (more on that later) and then down to Orlando to celebrate Mother’s Day. Next weekend I’m scooting down to St. Petersburg with my dad and sister to visit The Dali Museum. I haven’t been in over 10 years (which makes me feel really old, that I can say it’s been a decade since I’ve visited a particular location), but I’m looking forward to the adventure nonetheless.

So much more to share soon!
