What are you up to this weekend? I’m baking alllll weekend long. I’ve got my supplies stocked, recipes lined up, and the holiday tunes queued. Traditionally, I play Love Actually in the background while baking, so that will probably happen at some point too. I hope wherever you are this weekend, you’re enjoying the holiday spirit! I try to give myself a manicure/pedicure every weekend, and one thing that helps keep the polish on my nails instead of my fingers and toes is using natural light. Being able to see properly makes painting nails (and everything else for that matter) exponentially easier. Sitting next to a sunny window ensures that every cuticle is properly clipped and dark polish goes on with precision. It may seem trivial, but the next time you’re painting your nails at 10 p.m. by a table lamp, you’ll get it.
It’s not so much a wisdom as a cry for help, haha. It’s been way too long since I’ve taken a big trip, so I’m already making plans to see the sites in 2015. Where should I begin? I’m thinking here, here, or here.

Each glance gives another piece of the story away, all the while leaving us to wonder, “Will they end up together, or won’t they?”
Thanksgiving is over and you have a whole bag of fresh cranberries leftover. The solution? Cranberry muffins. They’re sweet and dense baked goodness, sprinkled with tart cranberries. One cloudy afternoon I whipped up a batch of these muffins and enjoyed one with a cup of tea and a good book. You just may want to do the same.
